My Little One and I recently made a ton of Rice Krispies treats for her and her friends. In the spirit of the season, the Halloween season that is, we made cute pumpkin face Halloween Rice Krispies treats. It was really easy to make the pumpkin faces and decorating them was a blast.

All the recipies are very simple, just like making traditional Rice Krispies squares, but a lot more fun because they are shapes for the occasion and include decorating fun.

I have to admit that our pumpkin faces were a little on the heavy side for the icing! My Little One really loved making sure they had colorful faces. 🙂 Personally, the treats were a wee bit sweet with all that icing so I would recommend maybe just a bit less icing than what we did.
Decorating the faces with jelly beans and jujubes is a great idea. You can also use sprinkles, chocolate chips, and just about any other candy that your family loves.
Making shaped Rice Krispies is a great treat for the kids (and the adults too) and a great Halloween activity.
In our recipe, we added butterscotch pudding mix for a wonderful flavor. We loved them and it is a great way to create flavors in your Rice Krispies treats.
