Vancouver, BC – British Columbians will soon have the opportunity to blast-off into the celestial realm and explore the cosmic playground – and truly see what the universe is like an astronaut with Space Explorers: The Infinite.
The fully immersive Vancouver mission will launch November 15 – and run until Mid-January at the Rocky Mountaineer Station, offering visitors an exclusive chance to experience the marvels of space travel from the safety of planet Earth. The exhibition is an extension of the Primetime Emmy Award-winning immersive series, Space Explorers: The ISS Experience, the largest production ever filmed in Space, produced by Felix & Paul Studios in association with TIME Studios, in collaboration with the U.S. ISS National Laboratory, NASA and five more international Space agencies.
After stunning audiences in Montreal, Houston, San Francisco, and more, the stage is now set for British Columbians to experience Space Explorers: The Infinite, an award-winning exhibition that is so awe-inspiring, it has left visitors in tears. Inspired by actual NASA missions aboard the International Space Station (ISS), this remarkable showcase provides an unprecedented opportunity to encounter the cosmos in ways never imagined before.
“It’s going to leave you changed. I was literally crying, it’s so immersive and so absolutely beautiful,” — ABC10.
“The Infinite, a virtual reality (VR) exhibition that makes you feel like you’re an ISS crew member.” – Time
“[This] virtual reality experience is so realistic it made astronauts cry,” — The Houston Chronicle
“Space Explorers: The Infinite” sets a new standard for immersive location-based experiences. This cutting-edge journey allows up to 150 visitors to collectively venture into space, offering a virtual tour of the International Space Station (ISS). Through a series of never-before-seen 360° videos captured using advanced technology, participants will gain a rare perspective on life aboard the ISS, interact with the real-life crew, and witness breathtaking views of our precious blue home as seen from outer space.
The creators behind this ground-breaking venture, PHI Studio and Felix & Paul Studios, are pioneers in the Extended reality (XR) industry. Their partnership, “THE INFINITE Experiences,” seeks to revolutionize large-scale immersive projects through spatial and interactive exhibitions.
“We’re beyond thrilled to bring this unparalleled virtual adventure to Vancouver and cannot wait to share this incredible adventure with visitors,” said Paul Dupont-Hebert, President of Tandem. “There simply isn’t any experience that comes close to seeing Earth from the ISS for the first time, or the heart-pounding adrenaline rush of a spacewalk — and the best part is, you don’t need to be an astronaut to do it!”
