In the heart of Vancouver, BC Canada lies Stanley Park. I always find it an amazing and breathtaking adventure to go to Stanley Park. I love all the trees, the seawall, and all the nature nestled in the heart of the city.
I have lived in Vancouver for about 17 years now and I always longed to take a Stanley Park Horse Drawn Tour. I am not sure why it took me so long to finally take one. It was spectacular and my family will be taking the Stanley Horse Drawn Tour yearly now. There is simply no better way to enjoy Stanley Park.
Step aboard one of our old-fashioned horse-drawn vehicles and meander in comfort through the natural beauty of Stanley Park, Vancouver’s thousand acre wonderland. A professional guide fully narrates the tour which highlights Deadman’s Island, Vancouver’s Harbour, Lions Gate Bridge, a Coastal Red Cedar Forest, and includes stops at the Totem Poles, the Girl in a Wet Suit Statue, the S.S. Empress of Japan Figurehead, and the Rose Garden.

DURATION: One hour

CAPACITY: 20 passengers per tram

MomMomOnTheGo went on the Stanley park Horse Drawn Tour with her better half and our Little One who is 6 years old. We all loved the tour. I was not sure if my 6 year old would find the one hour tour long, but she loved every minute of it. She had absolutely no problem whatsoever sitting for the hour. If anything, we all felt that the tour was over sooner than we would have liked because we were enjoying ourselves so much.
If you live in Vancouver or are planning on visiting Vancouver, the Stanley Park Horse Drawn Tours is a must. There is just no better way to see Stanley Park.
Here are the beautiful horses that we owe our thanks to for pulling us around Stanley Park the day we took the tour.
I loved our tour narrator and carriage driver. It was obvious that she had passion for the park that she was telling everyone about. I learned a few things about the City that I never knew before. I also loved how she talked gently to the horses and made sure to tell the passengers a bit about them and the care they take for them.
I felt that the narrator made me feel like I was being taken away on an exploration of a natural beauty. We had all seen Stanley Park so many times before, but we were entranced by the beauty of viewing it from the horse drawn carriage and with the history of the park that was being revealed to us along the way. It is simply amazing.
Check out the video we put together to try and show a little of what the Stanley Park Horse Drawn Tour is about.
