Staying Bug Free during Summer Fun with Tender Corp

Staying Bug Free during Summer Fun with Tender Corp

July 22, 2017 By MomMomOnTheGo

It is time for summer adventures and with summer adventures, unfortunately, comes bugs. So we put a lineup of Tender Corp products to the test. As some people use products with Deets DEET and some people use natural products, we have covered a number of products which are available at a number of retailers including Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Rexall, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Canadian Tire, SAIL, and Sobeys.

The first product we tested out was the Natrapel Lemon Eucalyptus Spray.

If you are looking for a more natural bug spray, then I suggest you try out Natrapel Lemon Eucalyptus Spray.

Natrapel® Lemon Eucalyptus DEET-free formula provides up to 6 hours of protection from biting insects and ticks. This great protection formula has an active ingredient derived from a natural plant base (Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus) which provides a cool refreshing scent. Perfect for any type of travel, Natrapel 37ml easy application spray comes in an airplane friendly travel size. Be prepared for bug season with Natrapel Lemon Eucalyptus!

I have read a few reviews from people who declare themselves mosquito magnets and they reported loving the product but needing to reapply it more frequently than the 4 to 6-hour mark. It appears to be person specific from the reviews that I have read, but I can report that Natrapel smells great and really works.

Natrapel comes in a 37ml and a 74ml spray so they can fit in your tackle box, beach bag, or just about anywhere you will need your bug spray on your summer adventures.

Check out this video from Tender Corp…..

If you are looking for a DEET free bug repellant that works, then I recommend checking out Natrapel Lemon Eucalyptus Spray. You can find it in your local drug stores, outdoor stores, and big chain stores. You can check out where to buy Natrapel Lemon Eucalyptus Spray HERE.

If DEET products are your go to products, then check out Ben’s® 30 Tick & Insect Repellent.

Ben’s® 30 Tick & Insect Repellent offers protection from ticks and insects that may carry West Nile Virus (WNV), Lyme disease, Malaria, Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), and other infectious diseases. Providing up to 8 hours of effective protection, Ben’s® 30’s unique formula is made to evaporate slowly – so repellent stays on longer with little absorption into the skin. 177ml continuous spray bottle provides effortless, even application. Don’t Get Bitten, Get Ben’s®!

Ben’s® 30 Tick & Insect Repellent is not plant based, but rather 30% DEET. Ben’s® 30 is water based instead of alcohol based like most bug sprays tend to be. With a water based formula instead of an alcohol based formula there is less evaporation and less absorption of DEET into the pores of the skin. Another added benefit is that the absence of alcohol in Ben’s® 30 reduces the possibility of skin and eye irritation and it is much less flammable. The Ben’s® 30 bottle uses compressed air instead of propellants so it is better for the environment.

If you are nervous about DEET, make sure to do your research. A lot of information can be found on the Health Canada website.

Ben’s® 30 Tick & Insect Repellent provides the recommended maximum DEET of 30% for children ages 12 and older as well as for adults.

Ben’s® 30 Tick & Insect Repellent really works especially in those really horrible bug environments. Check out where to buy it HERE.

So what happens when you get one of those nasty bug bites? How about some relief from After Bite.

After Bite®Gel is a powerful treatment that provides immediate relief from insect bites and stings. This gel contains baking soda and tea tree oil to soothe the skin and stop the itch and pain. Keep After Bite® at home, in your car, in your tackle box and camper. Don’t let insect bites and stings ruin your outdoor fun!

We have been using After Bite for years. There is nothing worse than an itchy, irritating bug bite. After Bite works and is our trusted go to product especially for mosquito bites which is the most common bug bite we experience.

After Bite contains baking soda and tea tree oil. In our house, we turn to tea tree oil for so many things so I feel confident and comfortable using After Bite.

As always, make sure you read the full instructions and directions for use on all products to ensure that you are using the products safely, effectively, and the right one for the right situation and age. We loved all the above products because they are effective. If you have any questions about the products then check out the Tender Corp FAQ Page.
