The age of smartphones is among us and has been for quite a few years now. Cell phones have changed so much from that fist brick that people were carrying around to the current, lightweight smartphones that we now sport. Another factor that has changed is the age that we now see people sporting a cell phone. Tweens are almost surely to have a cell phone these days and I have even seen elementary children with cell phones. At what age did you give your youngsters their first phone? At what age will you give your youngsters their first cell phone?
I remember when I was excited about being allowed to have a home phone in my bedroom! Now our children are excited about when they get their first smartphone. But as a parent, aren’t we really excited about the peace of mind that our youngster having a cell phone provides us? I know I am. I like the ability to reach my kids. I love the functions that Family by Sygic provides so that my entire family can stay in touch.
You can read more about the Family by Sygic app that is available for Free in the article that I wrote all about the app earlier this year. You will be amazed at everything that the Family By Sygic app can do for you and your family in the area of staying connected and in touch.
I find that when each child in our house receives their first smartphone is dependent on the individual factors of each child. Our son received his because he was an avid mountain biker out on trails with his friends. I was worried about injury and him being lost, so he just needed a cell phone and that was at the age of 12.
Our middle one is not out and about right now at the age of 10 although I am thinking that she will be soon. She is interested in babysitting soon which could possibly bring forth the time that she will receive her first cell phone.
Our youngest one is 6 and is not in need of a cell phone as of yet. She is still at the age where she is with us. However, I do admit that when she goes on school outings, that the Family By Sygic app function that lets me know when she arrives their destination and returns from their field trip would be something that I would love.
SmartPhones have really changed our lives. I think we are all more connected now especially with apps like the Family By Sygic app. I know that we feel a layer of comfort knowing that we can be connected throughout the day.
