The Music of Junk Review

November 21, 2015 By MomMomOnTheGo

MomMomOnTheGo and crew headed out to The Music of Junk the other night. We had an amazing time and were amazed at what they made instruments out of and how amazing the music they played from the instruments sounded.

We attended the performance in Vancouver, BC at the Waterfront Theater located on Granville Island. It was not a sold out crowd and this surprised me as the show is amazing.

The show is an hour and a half long with no intermission. To all of us, it seemed like the performance zipped by.

In our party there were two adults and my Little One who is 8 years old. My Little One loved the show. She loved looking at the stage while we were waiting for the performance to start. She was seeing everything she could, a ski, a sled, a hockey stick, tubes, a car, and so much more. All these items and more were what the musical instruments were made of.

The songs and instrumental music was awesome. We were clapping and tapping along with the beat. This really is an upbeat performance that the entire family will enjoy.

About The Music of Junk! (themusicofjunk.com)

The Music of Junk! is a fun, energetic, musical adventure of original music performed on original instruments built from recycled junk. The 12-member orchestra and singers perform original compositions by Canadian composer Paul Snider during this 90-minute, unique show. Stories of the junkyard unfold through a wheel barrow bass, a garbage can cello, hub caps, PVC tubing, an automobile, different types of percussive instruments and much
more junk, all adding to the originality of this orchestra of the imagination.

If The Music of Junk makes a stop near you, I recommend that you go see the show. The Music of Junk is a show that everyone, and I mean everyone, from kids, teenagers, parents, and grandparents will love.

We loved The Music of Junk so much that we would have turned around and walked right back in to go to the show again.
