Warm Buddy

July 14, 2013 By MomMomOnTheGo

Everybody Needs A Warm Buddy

Have you heard of Warm Buddy? Warm Buddy is a wonderful company that has a wide selection of heat packs in various shapes and forms so that everyone in your family can have a Warm Buddy of their own. Warm Buddy has Rejuvenating Heat Therapy Products such as: Aromatherapy Eye Pillow, Aromatherapy sleep mask, Anti-Stress Heated Neck Roll, Anti-Stress Shoulder Wrap, Ultra Shoulder Wrap, Body Wrap and much, much more. Warm Buddy also has a line of Warm Buddies: The Original Warm-Up Animals.

First of all, I want to point out that the Warm Buddies have a pack inside that can be put in the microwave or the freezer depending on whether you need heat or cold.

What is inside the packs?

All Warm Buddy packs are 100% natural. Warm Buddy plush animals are unscented, and contain only 100% pure milled white rice. Warm Buddy therapeutic heat wraps contain natural lavender flowers, peppermint and pure essential oils of eucalyptus, cloves and rosemary. Aromatherapy Eye Pillows and Sleep Masks contain lanvender, peppermint, chamomile, and pure essential oils of rose geranium.

MomMomOnTheGo recently had the opportunity to test one of the newest Warm Buddies: the adorable, soft and cuddly new Penguin Warm Buddy.

The newest members of the Warm Buddy family of warm-up plush animals! Our Small Penguin and Baby Penguin are created from the softest fur and plush hands and feet. This little guy is so soft and absolutely adorable that your little one will be sure to want to cuddle it. My little one who is 6 is absolutely crazy about Penguins and is so in love with her Penguin Warm Buddy it is unreal. If she is cold or feeling under the weather, I heat the pack inside and her Penguin provides her soft, comfy, warm cuddles to help soothe her. If it is too hot out or my little one has growing pains or sore muscles, I cool the pack and it provides nice cool, soothing relief. It is the perfect product and one that MomMomOnTheGo absolutely loves and adores.

The Warm Buddy pack is easy to heat or cool. Make sure to follow the instructions on your heat pack as it provides the recommended time for heating and cooling. Remember not to overheat your heat pack. Also remember to place the pack in a plastic bag when putting int he freezer to cool it.

Are all heat packs the same?

Many of the heat packs on the market today are either ineffective or unsafe. Warm Buddy products combine aromatherapy with moist, long lasting heat which make them a superior heat pack. We have created a wide range of products to assist in comforting a variety of symptoms safely and effectively. The Warm Buddy Company holds a Medical Device Establishment License and products have been clinically tested and proven to treat a variety of medical conditions including stress, pain, insomnia, tense muscles, arthritis and head aches.

MomMomOnTheGo experienced something that is addressed in the Warm Buddy FAQ.

Why is my Warm Buddy damp after I heat it?

New heat packs will release moisture when heated. We recommend heating the pack 3-4 times (allow pack to cool between heatings) before use. This will diminish any odor caused by excess moisture.

If you experience this moisture situation, just heat the heat pack 3 to 4 times as indicated above and any odor disappears. I have had two heat packs and one did do this, but the second did not. The first heat pack that did have some moisture and odor was perfectly fine after I heated it up 3 times. No problems. I also contacted Warm Buddy to ask about the moisture and they were amazing and provided the best customer service possible. They are so amazing and a wonderful company that you can tell really care about their product and customers. I love companies with this type of dedication.

You also know a company and their products are amazing when they are a winner of Parent Tested Parent Approved, which Warm Buddy is.

Are Warm Buddy products safe?

Warm Buddy heat packs have been manufactured in Canada since 1996. They have undergone extensive testing with no adverse reactions or reports of any problems to date. Under daily use the product can last for many years when used as directed. If the pack should become damaged, or show signs of wear or discolouration discard, and ensure the contents are not ingested (contains milled rice). Warm Buddy plush animals are not intended for use as a toy. Do not use unsupervised on children under age 3 years. Do not use on individuals with impared sensation or unable to care for themselves. Do not overheat as product can burn. Keep inner packs dry. Pack should be removed from the animal when not in use.

Customer satisfaction is very important to the Warm Buddy Company. We will replace or refund any Warm Buddy product that does not meet our customers expectations.

The heat bag in the Warm Buddy holds its warmth anywhere from 30 minutes to about an hour. I found that the duration of the heat is all dependent on the size of heat pack you have. The larger ones seems to hold their heat a little longer. I find that the heat pack maintains its heat more than long enough for my little one. She cuddles her penguin at bed and is long asleep before her penguin is cool again. It is perfect because I do not want it maintaining the heat any longer than it does. My little one has night terrors if she gets too hot, so it is perfect how her penguin cools down in about 30 minutes to an hour.

The next product MomMomOnTheGo wants to try from Warm Buddy is something a little special for me 🙂 I love the look of the Violet Swirl Warming Blanket. I would love to curl up in bed with it on me.

Ok so I’m a total idiot! I followed @WarmBuddy on twitter and then instead of putting my twitter name @ourfamilystone in the field I wrote @warmbuddy. Sorry wasn’t trying to be cheeky – just having a mommy brain burp!
