Imaginations 2 – by Carolyn Clarke

June 4, 2016 By MomMomOnTheGo

If you follow me regularly, then you have probably already read my review of Imaginations by Carolyn Clarke.

Imaginations is the first of two in the series of short, relaxation stories/exercises for kids, written by Carolyn Clarke. My Little One and I fell in love with Imaginations so we needed to check out Imaginations 2.

The sequel to Imaginations: Fun Relaxation Stories and Meditations for Kids. More stories packed with kid-friendly guided imagery and whimsical illustrations. A must for every parent and teacher!

Imaginations 2 is awesome. This second book in the Imaginations series is just as wonderful as the first. Our favorite relaxation story in Imaginations 2 is Tight and Soft. Tight and Soft gets your little one to go through tightening and relaxing each part of their body, ending with a full body tightening and then softening. My Little One finds it so much fun to do and between the smiles, little giggles, and muscle exercises, she is relaxed after it and has forgotten all that was worrying her.

I truly believe that the Imagination series books are a wonderful tool for helping kids relax and cope with the woes and stresses of life. We have relied time after time on our Imaginations books and they are really our go to items for dealing with stress and focusing on relaxation.

I am not sure which Imaginations book we like more between the two in the series. I am glad that we have both of the books and I hope that Carolyn Clarke publishes a third book. Any sequels in the series would definitely make it into our library at our house.

The amount of times that my Little One has turned to or asked for the Imaginations books to be read has only solidified how wonderful Carolyn Clarke’s books are. These two books really should be available to all kids through school libraries, classroom books, and they are perfect for home libraries too.

What I love about Imaginations and Imaginations 2 is that they also inspired my Little One to write her own relaxation stories and books. The Imaginations books really got my Little One thinking about what relaxes and is soothing for her and she was able to articulate it in a Carolyn Clarke style of story. I was very impressed. My Little One’s production of her own story really showed me that the Imaginations’ books were teaching and speaking to her. My Little One was inspired and learning how to relax from them which is exactly what I wanted and what the books intentions are.

I highly recommend that you follow Carolyn Clarke so that she can help you and your little ones with their relaxation goals. You can check more out here…..
